What is Homoeopathy?

Homoeopathy is a well-respected and popular form of natural medicine. It recognises our uniqueness and gives our body the necessary stimulus enabling it to heal itself.

The name of the disease is less important than how you as an individual present your symptoms physically, mentally and emotionally. Unlike conventional medicine homoeopathy considers the whole person. It not only relieves the immediate symptom, but goes on to treat the root of the problem. The body restores itself to health and builds up resistance to disease.

The results can be remarkable, bringing about cures that are rapid, gentle, safe and permanent.

“A single symptom is no more the whole disease than a single foot a whole man.”

Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. Organon of Medicine 1842

The principles on which homoeopathy are based have been known for thousands of years, however it wasn’t until the late 1700’s that a brilliant doctor and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann stirred it into modern science.

Dr. Hahnemann observed that given the right stimulus the body is capable of curing itself of virtually any disease. This stimulus is provided in the form of a very highly diluted remedy. Dr. Hahnemann also observed that only minute amounts of such homoeopathic remedies are necessary to encourage the healing process.

Homoeopathy can also be used as a preventative medicine. It can help to keep you well and your constitution strong.
